Licitra Roofing is highly qualified to apply a new roof system to your home or building. In fact, credentials awarded to Licitra by certain manufacturers permit us to provide NDL (No Dollar Limit) roof system warranty coverage for commercial and institutional structures. NDL warranties are available in 12, 15 and 20 year coverage – dependent upon the roof membranes and layers chosen. These warranties cover our workmanship along with materials for the term specified and are protected by the manufacturer. Our team of professionals will thoroughly assess your requirements and offer you a written, detailed evaluation and estimate. Whether it’s commercial, residential, or institutional we’ll help you decide which roofing system is best suited for your application and point out cost versus longevity consequences.
A Modified Bitumen Roof is very durable, weather resistant (rated against wind, fire, and hail), easy to repair, and flexible (expands and contracts). Bitumen is reinforced with fiberglass or polyester fiber along with water resistant asphalt. Licitra Roofing prefers to apply a granulated surface cap sheet as the top surface layer in lieu of aluminium roof coating. The white (cool roof) granulated membrane meets Chicago's "Urban Heat Island." A maintenance check every year is recommended and will keep seams sealed, protecting your investment and ensuring the new roof’s permanence.
The single ply roof entails usage of a white thermoplastic olefin membrane. Growing in popularity, TPO roof systems are resistant to ultra violet exposure, punctures, mold growth, chemical exposure and dirt accumulation. TPO Roof systems meet the City of Chicago's "Urban Heat Island." On a TPO roof system all seams are heat welded.
Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) Roof System
EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane widely used in low-slope buildings. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas. The EPDM membrane comes in the colors black(with ballasted) or white(fully adhered or mechanically fastened) and meet the City Of Chicago's' "Urban Heat Island." On a EPDM roof system the seams are fused together with seam tape.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Roof System
PVC roofing membrane is made of thick, flexible UV-resistant thermoplastic material. PVC roofing membrane meets the "Urban Heat Island" and may also contain polyester or fiberglass, resins, pigments, plasticizers along other chemicals. PVC roofing can be made to fit nearly any flat roof shape, and is considered a fire safe material. This type of prefabricated flat roofing material is also inexpensive and has good general weather resistance due to seams being heat welded.
No matter what the layers are made of, they will fulfill these requirements:
The waterproofing component
The reinforcing component
The surfacing component which is used to protect the other components from the elements.
The service life of a roof is dependent on many factors: geographical location & weather conditions, foot traffic, materials used, conditions under which the roof was installed, slope of roof, type of surfacing material, etc. However, with proper maintenance, your investment should last years without worry.
Routine maintenance is a smart way to protect the value and ensure the performance of your new roof. Weathering and aging of the roof are natural, but regular inspection and maintenance services performed by Licitra Roofing can delay these events significantly. During our inspection we will be able to identify repair issues and fix them before your interior is compromised.
